18.5.10The Outfit- Painting Of 2 Women In Clothing Store![]() The Outfit As you probably noticed already I'm currently focusing more on larger and medium sized paintings. Not that I'm forgetting about my dailies, but it's just that I feel like making some larger ones for a change. I like the amount of detail I can put into those paintings as todays painting clearly shows. webshop

7.10.09Killah - painting of shopwindow at night
It feels real good to be fully concentrating on larger scaled paintings once again. There's no stress of finding any new subjects to paint for the day, no deadlines and above all I can go all out with the details, which I absolutely love.
This past week I painted Killah, a painting showing a shopwindow of a clothing store at night. I thought the name of the store was quite odd, Killah is slang for Killer if I understand American slang correctly. I remember standing in front of the shopwindow wondering about this, when I saw that the dummies were already killed so to speak. They all lost their heads, but at least they still looked nice. This saturday my solo-show at Artemisia will open. Today we decorated the gallery and it really turned out great. A sneak preview of the show can be seen on the website of Artemisia. The show will be opened this saturday at 16.00 h (4 pm) by Peter de Haan, editor of the book Famous Frisians in America. I'm looking forward to the show and I hope to greet you as my guest! kind regards, Gerard Boersma ![]() Killah G. 15.1.09Inspection - Woman in Clothing Store 6" X 6"
While shopping recently with my sister in law for the LA Art Show I saw this lady shopping for some clothes as well. She really is giving it a close inspection!
Speaking of clothes, it's about time I started to pack mine, because I'm flying to Los Angeles this monday! kind regards, Gerard Boersma ![]() Inspection G. Boersma acrylics on masonite 6" x 6" or 15 x 15 cm 2009 SOLD Larger sized image www.gerardboersma.blogspot.com 11.5.08Japanese Clothes
A bit later than usual, that's because I went out to dinner with my girlfriend and a good friend of ours. I had a splendid evening and even enjoyed some sunshine today, gotta work on my taint you see. My face is all red now, I think I'll drink another one just to cool down. Anyway, todays painting is situated in a Japanese clothing store. I liked the odd perspective and of course the hip clothes they wear in Japan.

As I told you recently I just became a new member of the Daily Painters Gallery. Likewise my new studio it really inspires me and I decided to become a real daily painter. This means that from now on I will post a new painting every single day. Yes, every single day, including the weekends!
For starters here's todays painting 'The Clothing Store'. I hope you enjoy the painting as much as I did painting it and I hope to see you again tomorrow! kind regards, Gerard Boersma ![]()
14.2.08The Dummy
I hardly had anytime to paint this week, that's why I haven't post anything new up to now. I'm still busy packing my belongings and cleaning out my old studio. It's kind of a drag to do, but it's all for a good cause!
On the new painting you see a dummy from a clothing store in Assen. It was a real challenge to make the dummy look real, but a the same time still made out of plastic. I hope you enjoy this painting and I hope I find some more painting time next week! kind regards, Gerard Boersma
10.1.08The Sale
It's that time of year again when every clothing store is getting rid of their old collection to make way for the new one. The store on my painting is having a heavy sale with discounts of 70% on the entire store. The whole place is almost empty with the exception of a lady looking for gold between the leftovers.
If you would like to have this blog painting just click on the link beneath the painting to place your bid. The auction only lasts for 10 days and you can expect the painting within a week to 10 days after the auction ends. You will receive the painting safely packaged and ready to frame or simply displayed on a small easel. Please be reminded that the colors may slightly vary due to a digitalcamera's results and depending on your monitor. I hope you enjoy this painting as much as I did painting it! kind regards, Gerard Boersma ![]()
