15.5.08One Way
Recently I heard somebody say or read somewhere that two wrongs don't make a right, but 3 left turns do. My sign already shows the right way, but as it says it's only one way. There just might be others!

14.5.08Change
I just love painting these night scenes, they're so much fun to do. The lighting gets me everytime. Why I entitled this piece Change I totally leave that to your imagination this time.
Besides painting I'm preparing for my open studio on may 24th and 25th. Everything goes as planned, but I still got some work to do. As a matter of fact I get right on it now, have a nice evening! kind regards, Gerard Boersma ![]()

26.11.07The Traffic-Light at night
Just like my other blog painting The Traffic-Light this painting is situated in New York. It has the same meaning too, but I decided to paint another one at night. The lighting and atmosphere make the scene more dramatic and I simply love it.
I enjoyed the opening at Galerie Help U Zelven in Winterswijk yesterday. I like to thank everybody who showed up, it was nice talking to all of you! The responses where great and I'm convinced that we put a great show together that's really worth seeing. You can do so untill jan 19 2008. I'm hoping to get my hands on some pictures soon! kind regards, Gerard Boersma ![]()
24.11.07The Traffic-Light
This traffic-light is situated in New York. I forgot the exact place, but it's somewhere near Wallstreet. For me red traffic-lights symbolize somebody telling me that I cannot make it as an artist. It may not be easy, but I know at some point the light has to turn green and I can reach the otherside safely. One could say the painting is really about persistance and waiting your turn.
