And as words, besides images, are powerful tools to think with: the more words you know, the better your thoughts will be. I thought this bookshelf with Homer's Iliad was just perfect to illustrate this point.

After all the auction and museum painting I felt like makig a still life again. The painting shows a merchandise mug of Homer Simpson from the animated television show The Simpsons. I'm a huge fan of the series, I even wrote my art history thesis about it and thought it would be fun to paint Homer in a realistic setting.
