One night I was watching the 8 o'clock news with Noraly Beijer on Dutch television and wondered what I was actually watching. I decided to take a picture of my television screen to freeze time and use it as a starting point for a painting. As it turned out what I was watching was a candy colored environment with a tank in it.

This commissioned painting shows a woman looking at portraits of her family. Her mom and dad are there, brothers and sisters as well as her children and grandchildren. Her children gave it to her as a birthday gift. She absolutely loved it! Happy Holidays!
