Something different than my recent still life painting today. Todays painting is the larger sized version of my daily painting I did a while ago of an auction at Sotheby's. The painting on the right is by Cezanne. I especially like the coloring and atmosphere, it looks just very classy to me.

You know how it is when you find a brand new subject to paint? Everything is still open and possibilities just seem endless. I feel that way about my new auction series, there still is a lot of ground to break and to me that's very exciting as a painter. On todays painting you see auctioner Tobias Meyer taking bids at an auction at Sotheby's. An assistant is standing next to the auctioned painting by Cezanne.
