6.8.26Méditerranée- Painting Of A Woman Enjoying A Painting By Ellsworth Kelly Méditerranée
G. Boersma SOLD This work of 30 x 30 cm shows a man enjoying a painting by Ellsworth Kelly. The title translates to "Mediterranean". Like many of his transitional works from his time in France, it reflects Kelly's deep fascination with light, horizons, and reflections on aquatic environments rather than a direct landscape illustration. All the best, Gerard
9.7.26Cross Black And Red- Painting Of A Woman Enjoying A Painting By Kazimir Malevich Cross Black And Red
G. Boersma SOLD Kazimir Malevich’s cross is a symbol of pure, spiritual feeling over reality. He believed art should represent the soul and not necessarily reality. All the best, Gerard
22.10.25Red Square- Painting Of A Woman Enjoying A Painting by Kazimir Malevich Red Square
G. Boersma SOLD In 1915 Malevich created a painting the world knows as 'Red Square' and that he titled 'A Peasant Woman in Two Dimensions'. To Malevich this painting was about letting go of all materialism, but to the art world he had created total abstraction and the development of Constructivism. All the best, Gerard

18.2.25Black Square- Painting Of Woman Enjoying Painting By Kazimir Malevich Black Square
G. Boersma SOLD The Black Square by Kazimir Malevich is often thought to be the first painting that wasn't of something. The Black Square is not just the first painting in a new movement. It’s a totally different kind of art object to what had been seen before. Malevich set out to change forever the idea that painting has to represent reality. I brought it back to reality by adding a woman enjoying his revolutionary painting. All the best, Gerard

7.12.18Croix Noire (Black Cross)- Painting Of Woman Enjoying Painting By Kazimir Malevich
Croix Noire (Black Cross) G. Boersma Kazimir Malevich was the founder of the artistic and philosophical school of Suprematism. He invented this term because he believed that art should transcend subject matter. The truth of shape and color should reign 'supreme' over the image or narrative. His ideas about forms and meaning in art would eventually constitute the theoretical underpinnings of abstract art. Malevich worked in a variety of styles, but his most important and famous works concentrated on the exploration of pure geometric forms. With the piece 'Black Cross' Malevich explores an important aspect of human life, that of the power to choose between two options. In some cases, this choice is reduced to one between good and evil. In other situations, it is not so obvious which option is good or will bring results down the road. Perhaps that is what my figure is thinking about as well.
