Daily realism paintings by Gerard Boersma: The Deli

I told you tuesday that I started a new series of paintings about Japan, but I'm also still working on my New York-series. Typical for the Big Apple are those small grocery stores called deli's. They're scattered all over the city and usually open 24/7 or at least till very late in the evening. My painting is also an evening scene and if you look closely you can see the deli is not only filled with stuff, but also with people.
