Daily realism paintings by Gerard Boersma: The Cook

Since I like to paint big modern cities, people advice me to go to Japan all the time. I would love to go for sure, but unfortunately a ticket to the land of the rising sun is still quite expensive. Luckily I recently linked up with www.photopassjapan.com, a great site for everybody interested in Japan. They were kind enough to lend me some pictures which I found really inspiring for my paintings. The first painting in this new series of paintings is 'The Cook', I hope you enjoy it!
