On my painting a lady is looking at an old painting in the worldfamous Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, like you can read on the bag the lady is carrying. I titled this piece 'The Conversation', because I felt the man on the painting and the woman were talking to each other, despite the enormous space of time between the two of them. The young lady is looking up to the man, but you could also say she's standing on his shoulders, like we all stand on the shoulders of our forefathers.
kind regards, Gerard Boersma
