Daily realism paintings by Gerard Boersma: The Book

As you might have noticed I started to paint on slightly larger scale as well, 30,6 x 35 cm or 13.8" x 12". I really love this size, because it allows me to paint just a little more detail. Todays painting is on this new size and shows a woman reading while riding the subway of New York. She's completely taken by her book and doesn't seem to notice her surroundings at all. It makes you wonder what the book is about and what wonderful story unfolds in her mind.
