The little girl on my painting is enjoying a pop art painting of The Squad, an informal political grouping of four members elected in the 2018 United States House of Representatives elections with support of the Justice Democrats.
It includes Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan. All are relatively young women of color and have been described as being on the left wing of the Democratic Party.
