The painting within my painting pays direct homage to Christopher Wool’s iconic text style, mimicking his signature typography and monochrome aesthetic. Wool used out-of-context phrases to disrupt how we read and look at art. Here, I use that same lettering to spotlight a distinct modern obsession: endlessly scrolling on the internet.
