26.10.10JC 008 And Affordable Art Fair JC 008 G. Boersma acrylics on masonite 9.8" x 8.7" or 25,2 x 22 cm 2010 I'm loving the shape of this black open toe high heel by Jimmy Choo! This painting and my other shoe paintings can be seen at the Affordable Art Fair in Amsterdam. The fair doesn't open untill this thursday 28 oct, but today Petra of Amstel Gallery already decorated the stand for tomorrows invitation only preview. She was kind enough to email this pic below showing the booth. Looks great, doesn't it? Next to my shoes you can see my painting Art Business which I completed earlier this year. I'm loving the brownish background with another shade of brown for the shoe itself. In real life the yellow is more penetrating, sometimes I cannot get the colors right on the pic I'm afraid. I'm having so much fun painting the shoes, I cannot believe I haven't done this a long time ago! Today I got a black Jimmy Choo shoe for you. The bands were kind of tricky to paint, because of all the subtile corners and reflections. webshop

6.10.10CL 006- Still Life Of High Heels Christian Louboutin CL 006 G. Boersma acrylics on masonite 9.8" x 8.7" or 25,2 x 22 cm 2010 I finished the larger sized painting I was talking about last week. I cannot show it yet as I want my models to be first to see it, but it turned out to be a real beauty. This friday at 17.00 hours the groupshow 'Skrift' will open at broadcaster Omrop Fryslan in my hometown Leeuwarden. Curator and former hostess Aly van der Mark picked out artworks which are related to writing. I show 8 pieces, including my largest painting up to now: The Thinker.
